Written Directions

Not too hard to find. Just south of Zanesville, OH is the very small town of Brush Creek, OH. Just get yourself to Brush Creek and head south on route 555 for about 30 miles till you get to the end point of Chesterhill, OH.

Scenery

Beautiful isolated farms with rolling hills. You'll be driving next to and through some of the Wayne National Forest.

Drive Enjoyment

Lots of very challenging twisties. Roads line the crests of rolling hills ... an amusement park for sport and sport touring bikes. NOT a novice road. One should attempt this road with extreme concentration. Road conditions are fast with little traffic.

Tourism Opportunities

Isolated. You're there for one thing - to ride.

Rode the Triple Nickel today for the first time. There's quite a bit of patched up asphalt, half a lane, quarter of a lane. Sometimes just an edge. The roads in bad shape but as far as the ride itself it was awesome. Deep hills, tight curves, and scenic country landscapes. Rode it from Zanesville to Bartlett, ohio

7/24/2019 (Wednesday, afternoon). Started ride at intersection of OH37 and OH555, then rode south to Chesterhill, about 20 miles. (Stayed on 555 all the way to US50, about 43 miles, but am only reviewing to Chesterhill). Scenery: Forest, farmland, rolling hills. Road Conditions: The road was in fair to average condition. Rough. Many patches, cracks, degraded roadbed. A couple of really bad spots north and south of Ringgold. Bouncing in the curves is no fun. Ride: Lots of curves and twisties. A few tight curves that could sneak up on you. A couple of blind rollercoaster hills (one has a drive just over the hill. And a few blind curves just over the hills. The slow curve highway signs may be for the 2nd curve, not the immediate one. Quite a few driveways along the route, so be prepared for someone turning in/out or moving slow. I encountered very little traffic. Amenities: None between OH37 and Chesterhill. Other: Rode on a 2012 Goldwing loaded down for a three week tour.

Almost all riders agree that the individuality of this road comes in the unpredictability of each next turn. With the constant change of grade, surprise curves over crests and threat of animals, it holds its own as a fun route. Sure there are sp
