Written Directions

There are better roads to get to it but if you start out on hwy 9 in snohomish area and head east on 164th. From there you will take a wierd straightish right turn to Elliot road and stay to the left when you get to Fales road. Just follow that until you get to a straight away where there is a bridge on your left and you can stop to rest or turn around or head somewhere else.

Scenery

Its a quick jaunt from the city that takes you away from it all. Your passenger has lots to look at while you focus on the many curves in the road. Lots of trees and then when it opens up you have great view of the montains.

Drive Enjoyment

The road is great! There are a few corners that almost always have gravel right in the middle of the lane. These corners are labeled at 15 mph and i would do that the first time through so you can spot out the gravel. It is a fairly short ride depending on where your coming from. So many people go back and forth on there favorite spots.

Tourism Opportunities

There is nothing on this road but farm land with a few houses in between. But it is a short ride to get to any amenities. Note: This road is fairly well traveled during the summer by motorcycles and can have some big "country trucks" on it to so watch the corners for people going over the double yellow a little bit. And PLEASE watch the 15 mph rated turns for gravel because I seen a guy lose it and fly over the guard and be shipped out by ambulance. Ride safe.

Slow road, gravel in many places. It's fun if you continue down Snoqualmie Valley RD.

Nice road. I road it on a Sunday morning in July. Nice curves. Tree-covered sections. A little gravel here and there, though pretty clean the day I rode it. I went ahead and followed the road down to Fall City, though what's marked on the map is definitely the best section to take in.

My wife found this road as an alternative to 9 on her commute from Bellevue up to the Snohomish area. Very enjoyable ride but as others have commented, there is one pretty treacherous corner, very often with gravel on the apex, so watch out. If you'd like to extend the ride a bit, continue south along High Bridge Road until the intersection of NE Woodinville Duvall. Hang a right and follow that to Paradise Lake Road, then follow that back into the Maltby/Snohomish area.
