Written Directions

Easy to find and follow. Just start out in Dardanelle, AR and head west on AR State Highway 155.

Scenery

This road includes 4 miles of rolling hills and then a very steep climb. The mountain scenery is awesome. There are tons of deer on top, but you'll ride so slow they are not a problem. Views of the valley below are breath-taking.

Drive Enjoyment

The 3 miles to the top have the most steep hairpin curves you've ever seen in your life. This is no road for novices. These are 1st gear turns. The surface isn't bad.

Tourism Opportunities

There's a park store on top. You're only 7 miles from town. There is a nice state park on top. They rent nice cabins if you love it and want to stay.

Fun ride, lots of curves and steep climb. Great scenery at the top.

It's a short group of switchbacks, but WOW, they are tight! Warning: make sure any cages in front of you are far enough ahead of you.... they will stop and crawl right in the middle of the switchback, and it's a heck of a balancing act coming up behind them with nowhere to go.

Sorry, but I can't get on board with this ride. The only reason I take it is to go to Mt. Nebo. It's a few miles of fairly straight road, followed by about nine switchbacks up the mountain. And let's face it, a 10 mph switchback is only interesting because it's different, not because it's fun. You have switchbacks up Mt. Judea, but that's followed by several miles of great curves.
