Written Directions

Beginning in Bend take Hwy 26 Northeast towards Prineville all the way to Mitchell (82 miles, 90 mins.). From Mitchell go north on Hwy 207 for another 80 miles till you reach Ruggs. Ruggs is really just an intersection so you will need to go west or east for fuel, food, or lodging.

Scenery

This is a beautiful ride through the Ochoco mountain range. You'll go over through many small burgs which have a lot of character.

Drive Enjoyment

Lots of turns but nothing too terribly tight. With wildlife is present it would be wise to take it easy on the speed.

Tourism Opportunities

There are a few places to stop and camp but this ride is really meant to be a day trip that takes you back to Bend, Oregon.
