Written Directions

Start out from Moriah Center, NY north on Witterbee Road (left at intersection).AT 2.5 miles you will turn left onto Tracy Road (essex co 6) Follow it until Rt 7.

Scenery

Tracy Road is an isolated stretch of road with nothing entering from either side of the stretch of 7 miles. You will be surrounded by adirondack forrest with large boulders embracing you around tight turn. An occasional Deer, Squirel or fox might be watching you past by so be aware.

Drive Enjoyment

Tracy road has a lot of tight turns that cant be taken lightly but you can feel confident with the blacktop beneath your rubber. At the end of this road you stop and relize that was one of the best stretches road in all of the Adirondacks.

Tourism Opportunities

Tracy Road is just a stretch of road found between Port Henry, NY and Lake PLacid to add as a must find roads in essex county NY

Motorcycle Road Additional info

This is a road I run at least once every season. If you are in Lake Placid or near Port Henry,ny you must find some time to hit Tracy Road. It is one of the most intense stretches of rod in the Adirondacks.

Tracy Road has definitely seen better days. Rode it on 7/15/2020. The pavement is falling apart. The road definitely has potential, a tail of the dragon feel to it, one curve exits into another, but unfortunately the NYS Dot hasn't spent any money on it it at least several years based on the potholes and pavement coming up. Shame too. It could be a blast.

In a week of riding the Adirondacks this road was so nice my group made sure we traversed it on two separate days. In 2017 the pavement had some patch work, but was overall in good shape.

This was a great road for a nice twisty run. Of the thruway it is only a short ride to the start of the road and then running east to the end and turning around to ride it back to the highway is easy.

I ran it 4 times. It was great fun and the best curvy road in the area.

There are a few homes along the route but it is mostly thru forest.

If you are anywhere near this road and like the curves - this is for you!

Scenery is fine but not stunning.
