Written Directions

Start off at Holeshots Saloon in Dittmer, MO and head west on Route 30. Take 30 to St. Clair, MO and make a left on K. K will take you to 185 where you can go south (left) to Potosi (what I recommend) or North (right) to Hwy. 44. 185 is already mapped on here.

Scenery

This route is a great starting or finishing point for many of the other routes already listed on here. It keeps you on two lane paved, striped roads, but away from traffic and highways. You cross the Meramec river on both 30 and K.

Drive Enjoyment

Route 30 is a two lane 55 mph road with slow rolling hills and turns. The pavement is good, no potholes. K follow the Meramec it is a two lane 40 MPH back road. Its curvy, has elevation changes, and is scenic. The pavement is good, its lined, no potholes.

Tourism Opportunities

Holeshots is an eclectic bar with many oddities built by the owner. Its a dive but I haven't taken anyone here who didn't think it was cool. This place is for all bikers. They may have frozen pizza, but I just to stop have a drink and relax. Indoor and outdoor seating. I recommend walking around checking out the inside then sitting outside. Tehre are a few gas stations along 30, but not much else as as far as restaurants or palces to stop.

Motorcycle Road Additional info

This route is a great starting or finishing point for many of the other routes already listed on here. I like to ride this to 185 head south to Potosi, stop at Hubs Pub for a drink and lunch, then take 21 back.

It's a nice ride, especially when combined with some of the other roads in the area. I would suggest when you get to 185 riding down the road just a bit and then riding Hwy A

This is the fun part of MO-30, after the divided highway ends and the curvy two-lane road begins. And Hwy K is the classic connector between MO-185 and MO-30 to avoid I-44 (and is a lot more fun than the interstate). Both are classic SE Missouri Ozarks roads.
