Written Directions

From Lolo Pass, exit Highway 12 at Orofino, Id. Cross the river and turn left at the first road. Sign will say Riverside Ave. and Highway 7. Follow Highway 7 all the way to Kendrick. Total mileage aout 28 miles. From Kendrick you have 3 choices. Highway 3 to Deary is great if you are going North. Highway 99 is also a great choice if you are Northbound. Headed South? Just follow Highway 3. It will join with Highway 95 and take you into Lewiston. If you're headed on South towards Boise, then 95 is a great road for that run. There are also several other Awesome roads in this area that will also take you South. Check the map for various roads between Grangeville and highway 12. Well worth a couple small detours. Stay safe and Enjoy.

Scenery

The scenery through this area will be in a state of constant evolution. Small communities, farm land, forests, repeat, repeat. Nice, easygoing, layed back, just roll with the curves kind of ride. Just watch out for those occasional extra turns.

Drive Enjoyment

The road is in excellent condition for an old Country Road. There is light farm traffic so be watchful. You will glide through small intersections, beautiful farmland, many bridges and plenty of lazy rolling curves through miles of trees. Highway 7 is a quiet Country Road with very light traffic. It is an endless ribbon of curves constantly changing scenery. There are some surprising very sharp curves in several places. Please be attentive.

Tourism Opportunities

In only a 28 mile jaunt there is not much concern. There are good services on both ends of this 30 mile run. Like always..Keep the tank filled before you leave town. Then if you change your mind and want to see some area you had not planned on, you're covered.

Motorcycle Road Additional info

Please watch out for light cross traffic and those occasional extra sharp curves that pop up when you least expect it. This road is so layed back, it's easy to let your mind get too relaxed.

Great piece of road. Rode it just a month ago. You can see the whole Clearwater River valley as you climb.

I put my bike in my toy hauler and stayed a week at Dworshak while exploring the whole area. I've been all over the place and this was one of my favorite areas in the country. Kendrick has a nice little café and a pizza joint. But take rain gear. The weather in the area can be unpredictable. The roads are great and scenery will blow your mind.
