Written Directions

This route takes thru Cobb, Bartow, Paulding, and Polk counties. If you've only got a couple hours to get your fix, and you are on the north side of Atalanta then this is a great little run. Start at 41 and Black Acre trail in Acworth, head west on Blackacre Trail, which turns into Dabbs Bridge Rd, follow it to overlook Trail and make the left UP. Overlook trail is a quick twisty rd that reconnects to Dabbs bridge a couple miles down the way. Just make the left back on to Dabbs bridge and ride it all the way to 61. From there head south on 61 to Narroway Church Rd. This is a little loop that will keep you entertained with its curves and some nice scenery. When you get back to 61, just cross over and make the first Left onto School Road and a quick right on to Benson Rd. Benson Rd will head south and then turn west and loop you back onto Route 61. Head south again (take a left) and make a right at Braswell Mtn Rd. this is a fun, fast road with nice sweeping turns, no real twisties to speak of, but fun nonetheless. About 9 miles down the road you'll follow the fork to the right to stay on Braswell Mtn road and eventually turning right onto Knox Mtn rd. follow this to Route 113 and turn right for a little strait run until you get to Davistown Rd. turn right and follow this through some farmland until it dumps you back onto 113. Continue east on Route 113 to Route 61 and turn right. Southbound on Rouet 61 to Harmony Church rd. make a left and follow it over Dabbs bridge Rd all the way till it ends at Cedarcrest. Make a left and it'll take you back to 41.

Scenery

Lots of open farm land, some fairly wooded areas, and some typical suburban areas also.

Drive Enjoyment

Never had any issues with the roads. Nice sweepers, few twisters, some good elevation changes, and a couple of good straits to relax with.

Tourism Opportunities

Except towards the begging and the end there really isn't anything to speak of. Pizza, fast food, and chain restaurants are up and down 41. Some fast food can be found around 113 & 61.

The stretch on 113 past the nuclear power plant was a let down. The brass mountain portion was awesome.

Great ride. The Pizza place has burnt down so we stopped at Jeffersons in Rockmart at the halfway point.

What an awesome ride for so close to the city. Overlook Trail has lots of dirt/gravel driveways (some blind) and road debris from entering the roadway.
Braswell Mtn was a BLAST, but be careful - speed limit is only 35mph and you can easily double that.
Davistown Rd is tight with some unpredictable turns - also has road debris from vehicles entering the roadway.
I'll be BACK!
