Written Directions

Take route 7 south out of Wellsville the turn right onto route 213 the ride returns you to route 7 just before Steubenville.

Scenery

You start out down by the Ohio river but climb up into a lot of hilly areas with a combination of open field scenery along with thick woods. At some points you are at the peak of some tall hills with great views.

Drive Enjoyment

This route is extremely winding and a hilly ride. The route is great for riders with very very little problems with the road surface.

Tourism Opportunities

You are in the country, so there is not much along the ride to stop at. Only gas station is almost to Steubenville. But, if you ride north on Rt. 7 to Toronto there is a cool bar overlooking the Ohio river called Misty River marina

Motorcycle Road Additional info

A group of us rode this route over the summer and everyone enjoyed it. To ride from Wellsville to Steubenville on Rt. 7 ( along the Ohio river) only takes 20 min. This route will take you almost an hour.

I live on the southern end of this road. The surface is good to very good. Several elevation changes of 3-400' in less than a mile. Some very technical curves and some nice, scenic stretches. The entire road is about 25 miles long.

As of October 2020 the North end of this road was closed, due to construction. You may wish to check if this has been changed. As for the road it's self. It's mildly entertaining. There's no shortage of 35mph speed zones, though. They open up to 55 from time to time. It's mildly twisty, mildly scenic and mildly fun. Certainly better than any slab that it parallels, and I recommend to skip that, but it's more of a cruiser road with a couple of trick twisties thrown in.

Rode it weekend on 11/8/20, North end still closed, however supposed to open in a few more days. We came in from the north, detour took us down 7 to OH-152, then over to 213, so didn't get to ride but a little more than half of it. It was just ok, as stated a lot of 35 mph. Prefer it over 7, but wouldn't go out of my way for it.
