Written Directions

Between I-90 exit 109 (Ellensburg) and I-82 exit 26 (North of Yakima)

Scenery

This route follows the canyon and river with scenery typical of the central WA dry landscape. The other option between Ellensburg and Yakima is freeway over the hills with lots of trucks. Take the scenic route!

Drive Enjoyment

The road has a mix of sweepies and twisties with a couple of very tight turns around river bends. The road seems to be always in good condition, but there are rock fall areas to watch for.

Tourism Opportunities

A couple of camping spots but basically nothing to stop and spend time at.
