Written Directions

Ride begins in Bristow near the intersection of 28 and 619. Ends at 619 and route 1.

Scenery

This road is rather nondescript after about the half way point. The last 1/3 takes you thru some training areas of Quantico Marine Corp Base.

Drive Enjoyment

This is a fun one to ride with a good mix of hills, good tight and sweeping turns.

Tourism Opportunities

There are a few general stores to stop at during the ride. You can also ride onto Quantico Marine Base and visit Q-town (no military ID required, only VA drivers license) but if you do you may be asked to produce a reflective vest. The Marines also may require full protective equipment and an MSF card. Not sure about visitors. At any rate, they only time you need to worry about that is if you reach the end of 619 and cross over Route 1 and pass thru the gate.

Beautiful, short ride. Getting there absolutely sucks. Avoid I95 at all costs for about 8 miles either side of Quantico

Great route...Lots of twists, turns and sweeping turns...One tight banking turn that got me almost at 45 degrees. Stop at the Quantico National Cemetery on the way down...very somber. Tried to get on base but no luck unless you have business on the base. Fun ride...2hrs...50ish miles.

I can't believe that I was stationed at Quantico for years and never knew about Rte 619. Beautiful forested curvy road with rolling hills and light traffic.

I ride a Vulcan S (650 cc) - - I'm a noob, only been riding since my divorce a couple years ago.
