Written Directions

Sigel, PA is on the intersection of 36 and 949. (Both of those roads come off of I-80 by Corsica and Brookville.) Ridgway, Pa is on the intersection of 948, 949, 120 and US 219

Scenery

The scenery was nice through the forest, not much in the way of hills, but the cut through the forest type road is always a favorite of mine.

Drive Enjoyment

It's been years since I was on this road. The video is of 2011 and I can imagine the tar and chip of the video is long since settled making for a good surface to ride on.

Tourism Opportunities

None. Get your food and gas at a destination stop. This is a jaunt through the woods without even any towns in the way. Treat it as such.

Motorcycle Road Additional info

A jaunt through the woods. This ride is fairly twisty and in that it's an every motorcycle type of ride. Nice views, nice area, enjoy the show.

I can't comment on the road conditions, it was tar and chipped when I road it last in 2011. However, the road it's self, the twists and turns were great and I can imagine things would have been quite good if the road was all settled in or even made into black top.

Ridgway is a friendly, historic town. Breakfast at Joey's Bakery and Restaurant is a good way to start the day. It's a nice ride down 949 to Sigel. I thought it got better the along the way. It's not a long ride, and I suggest heading north on Rt. 36 out of Sigel. Take a right turn on River Road and follow the Clarion River all the way back to Ridgway. This is perhaps the best part of the ride. It's slow and winds along the river through various tourist areas. There are places to stop and t-shirts to be had. I took this loop on August 8, 2025 with two friends and thoroughly enjoyed it. We rounded it out heading north out of Ridgway to the Zippo/Case Museum in Bradford. We stayed in a BB in St. Marys. Also a nice place to visit.
