Written Directions

The route begins on the east side of Paducah, at the intersection of US 60 and US 62 (Kentucky Dam Road). Head east on US 60 over the Tennessee River on the Goerge Rogers Clark Bridge. In 1.6 miles, turn right onto Adair St. to continue on US 60. Continue for 37.3 miles, then turn left onto S. Main St. In 0.7 miles, keep right to continue on US 60 (Sturgis Rd). Continue for 18.8 miles, then turn right onto S. Main St. Continue for 59.8 miles to the intersection with the Wendell Ford Expressway (US 60 continues south on the expressway; Henderson continues straight into downtown Owensboro).

Scenery

The route goes through the rolling hills of western Kentucky, just south of the Ohio River. It travels through mostly open farm fields with occasional stands of trees, while passing through some small towns (like Marion and Sturgis) and a couple of larger towns (like Morganfield and Henderson).

Drive Enjoyment

The route is an easy cruising route, with mostly easy curves and slight elevation changes. The route is mostly well maintained rolled asphalt with some concrete surfaced streets in the towns.

Tourism Opportunities

There are numerous historical sites, restaurants, tourist attractions, and shops in Paducah, Henderson, and Owensboro. Sturgis, KY hosts the "Little Sturgis" Kentucky Bike Rally each year on the 3rd weekend in July. The route passes the Ferguson Creek Wildlife Management Area.
