Start about an hour south of Tucson off I-19 in a town called Arivaca Junction. The route starts in Arivaca Junction as you simply head west out of town on W. Arivaca Road.
Scenery
Southern Arizona's best road within 100 miles with massive views of the desert and nearby mountains.
Drive Enjoyment
The only worry are cattle guards and the occasional cow. Great sweepers with instant elevation changes that makes the heart soar and all with little if any traffic! Beware the occasional cow and Border Patrol. I rode through two stops but they're nice guys doing a great job.
Tourism Opportunities
Arivaca has no fuel but a quaint little market with cold drinks and snacks. Remember, it's about the ride, NOT the food.

Another common ride for me. This road is better enjoyed in the earlier or later hours. During the day it's quite warm and there are many places to stop and escape the sun. The road quality in places isn't the greatest which can hurt if you're on the wrong part of the road at the wrong time.
The only law enforcement I've seen of the road is Border Patrol, and they'll just wave you by, but be careful, the best times to ride are the same times that critter are out and about, and maybe trying to cross the road.

20 McR Points
Motorcycle Type : Touring
Fun road except the stretch west of Arivaca. As of late winter 2020 it was full of potholes. The road north to Three Points is also a scenic, enjoyable ride.
