Written Directions

Just north of Laurier, WA, in British Columbia Canada where BC-395 and BC Highway 3 intersect, Highway 3 starts heading west. This is where you start your route and simply take BC Highway 3 west for approx 89 miles until you reach Osoyoos, BC and the route's end. Note, this is just a small segment of the overall Crowsnest Highway.

canada road ranger

"Hwy #3, also known as the Crowsnest Highway, between Hope and Yahk is a 710 km ride of phenomenal beauty. This is the eastern half of this ride. Lovely roads carving through the Rocky Mountains. Plenty of gas and amenities along the way."

Scenery

This route is the best of the famous Crowsnest Highway. It takes you up into the mountains for some great & winding paved highway, across super high bridges then into the high plains area through some of most beautiful areas of BC, it then takes you to a look out from Anarchist Summit into the Okanagan Valley before you descend into the town of Osoyoos along Osoyoos Lake.

Drive Enjoyment

This highway is paved and contains some of the best twisties in Canada, as you ride a roller coaster, alternating between climbing a mountain highway to cruising across high plains and then descending into gorgeous valleys. You cross bridges with great views and follow cool clear rivers!

Tourism Opportunities

Grand Forks, Greenwood, Rock Creek and Osoyoos all offer some great pub fare and cosy cafe's, there are plenty of gas stations where you can stop refuel and refresh along the way.

Motorcycle Road Additional info

This is considered the best in the southern B.C. containing huge curves and the longest continuous ascent/descent of any highway in Canada

I like to ride this route because there is always something more to see, there are several paved side roads to explore as well.

Great road to take but can be slow in the summer with RVs. It is actually in British Columbia along the Washington border but not in Washington so mislabeled in Motorcycle Roads.

This is a nice more twisty and mountainous route compared to the #1. This route hugs the USA boarder and Osoyoos is known as Canada's only desert. As you near the town of Osoyoos you have to do a steep decline with a few sharp hair pin turns to actually reach the town.
