Written Directions

Catch the Ferry at Tobermory (book ahead in the summer) that will take you to Mantoulin Island. From there get on Route 6 and its a straight run north after that to Espanola, Ontario

Scenery

Scenic road with lots of curves. If you like water scenery, this road takes you right through the heart of the Island. There are beautiful high spots with incredible look outs.

Drive Enjoyment

A superbly scenic, curvy road through rocks and lakes.

Tourism Opportunities

You cross into a few towns during the trip, there are options for food, gas and accommodations. You will pass a few small towns, eating and gas is not a problem. Options for Motels as well.

Motorcycle Road Additional info

It is best to book ahead the ferry ride, called the CHI-CHEEMAUN https://www.ontarioferries.com/ontarioferries/english/schedule.html There are spots for about 10 motorcycles. It can be busy in the summer, especially weekends. The ferry trip should run you about $40. Its fun in itself.

Spend some time in Tobermory, where the ferry leaves for Manitoulin Island. On board the ferry, you will be supplied with tie-downs. Once on Manitoulin Island, take some time to explore. It's like stepping back in time. Friendly people, great restaurants, super bakeries and fund coffee shops.
