The Flaming Gorge Dam in Dutch John, UT is a must see. If you're interested, tours of the dam Friday through Sunday. The scenery is unbelievable. Watch for critters! Deer and wildlife are every where here.

Once you get on the western side of Flaming Gorge, the ride is long and mostly boring. The saving points are some short gems of interesting scenery of varied rock formations and some of the views of the reservoir. No traffic at all.

I have only ridden this one time but it was a very good route. good pavement with a lot of rocky desert country to look at.

In reviewing the photos I took of the route, I'd have to say there are a lot of interesting views along the way. Compare this route to, say, middle of Kansas. Not that it's bad in Kansas, but on this route the changes and variety of geology forms is quite spectacular.
