Written Directions

Take US 50 west from Union for approximately 5 miles, or east from Beaufort for approximately 5 miles to the intersection with Old State Road. Turn onto Old State Road and follow it for 5.4 miles to the intersection with MO-185.

Scenery

The route through typical mid-Missouri countryside, passing farm fields and houses across rolling hills. Much of the route is tree lined, with flowering trees in the spring and brilliant fall colors.

Drive Enjoyment

The route is a combination of curves, which range from 20 MPH to 40 MPH, and straight segments, with a 45 MPH speed limit. The road surface is older chip and seal, with several large segments that have been recently redone as large chip and seal patches.

Tourism Opportunities

There are no real tourism opportunities along this route.

This route is a "shortcut" if you're planning on going from westbound US 50 to northbound MO-185, and allows you to bypass the small town of Beaufort.
