Written Directions

Starting at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, head down Puowaina Dr. Turn right onto Tantalus Dr. Continue for approximately 5 mile up hill through some amazing zig-zags until the road split. Make a left onto Round Top Dr. and start your descent. There will be two main look out on the way down, must stop. Finally after going all the way down you will find yourself at Makiki St.

Scenery

It is beautiful going up and down this mountain. However make sure you keep your eyes on the road since it is filled with shifting-necessary s curves and sharp turns.

Drive Enjoyment

Generally hazard free with good pavement but due to the rain it might be wet and at some turns muddy.

Tourism Opportunities

This is a nature ride and its only 5 miles so take it and enjoy the ride.

Road is pretty incredible. Road surface has been pretty rough lately; most of it is pretty decent, but there are surprise nasty spots. Incredibly technical road...long high speed sections, short tight elevation changing hairpins, etc...You can see on the map the road goes quite a bit further than what is highlighted.
