Written Directions

Start at the northern point of Skyline Dr next to route 7. (Acme Grocery Store) Approximate address: 5000 Skyline Dr, Wilmington, DE, 19808 Head south on Skyline Drive then make a right on New Linden Hall Rd Make a right on Upper Pike Creek Rd Continue straight as the road name changes to N Star Rd and Valley Rd. Turn Right on Old Lancaster Pike Turn Right on Millcreek Rd Turn Left to continue on Millcreek Rd Turn Right onto Stoney Batter Rd Continue straight to finish the loop.

Scenery

This route takes the road less traveled between Pike Creek and Hockessin along two winding forest roads: Millcreek road and Upper Pike Creek road. As you follow these two modest creeks, you will see farmhouses and estates breaking up the deciduous forest. A nice break from the main drags of New Castle County.

Drive Enjoyment

This route has a combination of well maintained thoroughfares and winding back roads. Back roads may have leaves, dirt and debris as would be expected from forest roads with no shoulder. There are plenty of gentle bends and sharp corners to be enjoyed.

Tourism Opportunities

This ride is in the heart of New Castle County and has plenty of restaurants, gas stations and more nearby. Anything you can want is south of the loop on Kirkwood Highway.
