Written Directions
At Gouldsboro, take Phillips Road at PA-507 west to PA-435. (Hammerjax Bar & Grill is on the right at PA-435.) After crossing PA-435, Phillips Road becomes Clifton Beach Road. Continue 1.5 miles on Clifton Beach Rd., turn right onto Sandy Beach Road and continue 5-miles to PA-502. Turn left onto PA-502 for 11-miles and turn right onto Glenmaura National Blvd. Ascend Glenmaura National Blvd. 2-miles to Montage Mountain amenities and Doc Magrogan's Oyster House on the right.
Scenery
Most of the ride is through rolling, picturesque countryside with occasional houses, fields, streams and ponds. Beyond the forested Nesbitt Reservoir area, Glendale's short stretch of nondescript trailer residences are a sharp contrast to the affluent townhouses and golf course on Glenmaura Blvd.

Drive Enjoyment
The ride is on paved roads of average condition except for the worn paving on PA-502 along the Nesbitt Reservoir. Roads from Clifton Beach Road to the Spring Brook Corners intersection on PA-502 are for the most part straight, otherwise the route is twisty.
Tourism Opportunities
This is a ride where emphasis is partially about exceptional seafood in the area. Hammerjax (www.hammerjaxbarandgrill.com) on Phillips Rd. has: tasty, reasonably priced Maryland Crab Soup, Old Bay Peel & Eat Shrimp, and Maryland Crab-Cake, sandwiches or dinners. (Hammerjax owners are from the Chesapeake Bay area.) At Montage Mt., Doc Magrogan's (www.docmagrogans.com/) 4-6 PM Happy Hour serves: half-price drafts & house wines, $1 buck-a-shuck--mix and/or match from a wide variety of oysters, $6 small plates, etc. Also, Montage Mountain has a number of shops (www.theshoppesatmontage.com), places to eat, and a multi-theatre cinema.
For model-railroaders, visit Grzyboski's Train Store--PA's largest Lionel dealer @ the corner of PA-502 and Glenmaura Blvd.
