Written Directions

Head east on US 64 from Taos to Angel Fire NM. When you get to Angel Fire, turn right on Route 434 (head south). Continue south and you'll pass near Black Lake on the right and end up at the end point in Mora, NM.

Scenery

Rivers, mountains, fields, just a beautiful ride. Taos Canyon has plenty of twisties but a fair amount of traffic.

Drive Enjoyment

I haven't ridden this in awhile and can't comment on the road condition. But as far as the turns go, it has a lot of twists and turns ... nothing too sharp, but enough to keep you focussed.

Tourism Opportunities

No amenities outside of Taos, Angel Fire or Mora.

Took this route on May 5, 2014, I saw two motorcycles and one car from the time I turned on to 434 until the stop sign in Mora. The road was in good shape and I absolutely had a ball.

Great scenery and elevation changes There are areas with a good amount of corners from tight to moderate all enjoyable both as a one up or two up. Well worth the ride. Some traffic since Angel Fire is a ski tourist town. Great way to get from Albuquerque to Durango Co to continue your mountain rides in the San Juan Mountains of southern CO
