Written Directions

From US 98, turn off onto Kemp Rd. Virgil road will be just over 1 mile on the right. From US 70, turn onto Leesville Rd. Turn left onto Carpenter Pond (2.6 Miles). Virgil Rd will be pproximately 0.8 miles on the left.

Scenery

The route snakes through rustic farms and forest, but there isn't anything to stand out if you ride around this area frequently.

Drive Enjoyment

The road is paved, but it has been a while. The big plus is that the whole length is pretty much all corners with a few straights to make it challenging. There aren't any potholes but its not super tacky either if you try and lean the bikes over aggressively.

Tourism Opportunities

There really aren't any amenities around on the direct route, but the south side of the route is 2 miles away from Brier Creek which has tons of restaurants and shopping.

This is a great road to take if you are heading from Durham or Creedmore to the Brier Creek area.
