Written Directions

Start in either Mooresville, NC or Salisbury, NC with empty saddle bags and some bungee cords or netting. We had lunch in Salisbury and Uncle Bucks, perfect for bikers. Then, head along Highway 150. Cauble Creek Winery is a great stop for muscadine and other wines. A souvenir glass comes with a tasting. Your saddle bags should hold a couple of bottles, you might want to sit outside and sip a glass. Then head back to NC 150 to Patterson or Carregan Farms to pick some produce. Your bags will get pretty full, they have boxes you can strap on to your trunk rack. This is where the netting comes in handy. The road is slightly curvy (no straight roads in NC!!!) and ups and downs common to the Piedmont. More wineries in the area, but after you pick your produce, you might need to head home!

Scenery

Beautiful rolling hills, farms, trees....

Drive Enjoyment

Well paved, but don't look for shoulders...

Tourism Opportunities

Plenty of restaurants at each end, not much in between...

Motorcycle Road Additional info

Boone's Cave county park is north of Salisbury, a little park with the cave Daniel Boone's family stayed in when they first moved to North Carolina.

This is a decent little run. I usually incorporate hwy 115 through Davidson and Cornelius as well.
