Easy to find and follow. Just start out in Dardanelle, AR and head west on AR State Highway 155.
Scenery
This road includes 4 miles of rolling hills and then a very steep climb. The mountain scenery is awesome. There are tons of deer on top, but you'll ride so slow they are not a problem. Views of the valley below are breath-taking.
Drive Enjoyment
The 3 miles to the top have the most steep hairpin curves you've ever seen in your life. This is no road for novices. These are 1st gear turns. The surface isn't bad.
Tourism Opportunities
There's a park store on top. You're only 7 miles from town. There is a nice state park on top. They rent nice cabins if you love it and want to stay.
All I can say is "WOW"!! A sign at the bottom reads "No trailers over 24ft." 24ft?? I wouldn't want a pack-it rack on the back of my bike going up there. Some have apparently tried it though, 'cause there are nicks in the pavement on the inside of some of the switchbacks. Not gouged enough to hurt the ride. It's very technical, but keep your head/eyes in it and you'll enjoy it. Road surface "on the mountainside" is less than perfect, but the pace is slow enough that it doesn't matter. Views from top are awesome indeed!

The road is well maintained. Even though it was incredibly foggy on my ascent, I was treated to the sight of a herd of deer at the peak along with the great feeling of flying as I emerged from the top of the fog line. The view from this was absolutely stunning.

Man, Oh, Man! Absolutely beautiful views from the top! This is a 2 mile route from the bottom to the top and according to the published information there are 11 switchbacks. I forgot to count but it's certainly not for the faint of heart. As mentioned in other reviews, it's an 18% grade. I'm glad we didn't know this going in or we might not have attempted it but I'm glad we did and will go back. It's worth it.
