Great ride on Sunday, April 26, 2020. Started from Leakey up 336 towards 41 as stated in the description. Due to all this Covid stuff, I was hoping there wouldn't be a lot of traffic but was shocked that I didn't see one bike going the same way.
I rode the entire route and only saw a few cars and bikes and majority were going the opposite way. This made the entire journey a very enjoyable experience and the weather was amazing which helped a ton. A great ride in Texas for sure and should be on your list if you're in the area.

As for Texas Must Rides, the Three Sisters is on the top of the list. We've done this ride and even added to it and it never disappoints.

I rode this with my brother some years ago, in the middle of the summer in TX. Needless to say it was very hot, but the drive was fun, and then we went to Llano and ate BBQ at Coopers. That was really the highlight of the trip. Good day on the bikes though.

This is a good ride. If you want a cruise that you can “cruise control” forget this one. It’s about the rolling hills, twists and turns. You’re very likely to see all kinds of wildlife on this route. Texas has all kinds of rides available. Many of us like this one because it’s close to San Antonio and has that country feeling.

Hill Country provides some of the best scenery in TX and the riding here does not disappoint. Do yourself a favor and make it a weekend trip or longer.

Wow, just as advertised, perhaps even better. Like riding a roller coaster without the rails! Scenic beauty like no other, great seeing many other motorcyclist enjoying the ride as well. A must, add it to your bucket list.

I grew up and worked in the Hill Country for 35 years. I never tired of riding these roads. The Spring time is the ULTIMATE time to go as far as the scenery. The flowers are in bloom everywhere and the colors are terrific....downside to this time of year is the traffic on weekends can be slow going with lots of tourists and city folk heading out there. Weekdays the traffic is usually very light and you can enjoy the sweeping curves looking out over some nice vistas and some nice downhill curves that are fun to ride.

This was my first ride on my first tourer, a BMW 1200LT. My brother (BMW R1200GS) joined me. I was born and raised in Texas but had never been south of Kerrville, which is where the ride begins. Because we rode from Dallas we decided to begin in Kerrville, ride south to Medina and then west on 337 to Camp Wood, north on 335 to Hwy 41 and then took 41 back to Kerrville, not riding the 3rd leg (336) of the route. I'm hoping to not find out that 336 is the most scenic of the 3 legs. Since this was my first ride I don't have a lot to compare Twisted Sisters to, but considered both the ride and view incredible and am so glad that we spent the 2 days to see this part of Texas.

They say these are the best roads in Texas, but that's like saying someone has the best BBQ. There are many great roads in Texas, and these are among the best.
The times have changed for the twisted sisters, but they still have beautiful scenery, good surfaces, and a lot of ups/downs/twists and turns.
Get gas before hand, and enjoy the BBQ!

Spent a winter in Kerrville Tx and had a great time riding the hill country of Texas. The one thing that you have to watch for is the locals coming up from behind. They don’t believe in speed limits or no passing zones, they will fly past you on any stretch of the road.

It took a serious effort to include this in my cross country ride but it was everything they said. Some of the best corners and dips I had in my 7000 mile run. The scenery was great but the ride was fantastic. Even the little bit of rain we had did not damping our enjoyment. Thanks to all of you who recommended it. I would not have wanted to miss it.

Was out in the area earlier last year knocking off 3 of my 7 missing states and was given this as part of my route. other than the Texas Ranger hiding in the center gully who insisted on leaving me a reminder that he was there, the road was fantastic. Will definitely ride her again.

Riding Sisters during COVID was relaxing and quiet ! ... There is a bridge out at the moment (Feb 2021) so do some research before going. A beautiful ride and a 500mi day out for me. Will ride again.

I never get tired of riding the three sisters. To keep it interesting we change up the order and direction but it's always a good time. Right now there is part of 337 that is closed due to bridge repair but we found a detour via 470 and 187 that still enabled us to ride the vast majority of the loop.

Would had given 5 stars. Great scenery. Great ride! However, the locals are jerks, especially pick up truck drivers. They drive as if motorcyclists are not there or are a hindrance to them! If any locals reads this- Be nice to motorcyclists! We bring alot of money to your towns.

Try staying at the local family owned and operated motorcycle friendly, "Historic Leakey Inn", and ask about their weekend entertainment and also their river cabins. If you have the time consider driving the 99.5 miles to Del Rio and visiting Judge Roy Bean's grave in the courtyard of the funky Whitehead Museum. Speaking of Ol' Roy, the town of Langtry and the Judge's original Jersey Lilly Bar, Poolroom, and Courthouse is just 60 miles North of Del Rio on Hwy 90.
