80's down below and wind and snow through the pass. Always have some warm gear with to put on. Don't forget to make reservations to see the pig races and have some awesome steak.

I was surprised when I first rode this road. The way I found it was looking at a map, trying to figure out how to get to Yellowstone National Park. I just chose the route with the most curves, other than that I had no expectations. I left Red Lodge in the morning and was amazed mile after mile. The only thing that might pass as a con was the wind when I got to the pass. It felt like I was going to get blown off the mountain. When I parked the bike to take photos, I wasn't sure if the wind was going to blow it over.

I rode Beartooth Pass in 2017 and 2019. This is probably the most enjoyable ride I've been on - anywhere. From Red Lodge, Montana to Cody, Wyoming. Fantastic scenery, great road condition, no gas or amenities. It has been called "the most beautiful drive in America". There are two great passes on this ride, Beartooth in Montana (10,947 feet) and Dunraven in Wyoming (8859 feet). Each is the highest driveable point in its respective state.

The best MC road I've ridden to date! If you like twisties and extreme elevation changes you're gonna love this... Make sure you stop at the store on the west side of the Beartooth and get your patch saying you survived it! Bring warm gear, the temps can and probably will change drastically on and near the summit

Best road I’ve ever been on. Absolutely takes your breath. Went in early June 2018. Snow was 10-14’ high on sides of the road. Barely got to ride it. Check before you go

Absolutely stunning! It is our favorite ride. The scenery is just breathtaking. Lots of switchbacks and curves. Roads are good conditions. We started in Red Lodge and drove to Cook City.

Awesome must do ride. At the top of the pass are billboards warning about camping, "this is grizzly country".

I was on this highway many times as a kid as we vacationed in Red Lodge - I took it for granted until I was an adult. I will agree that there is no other ride like Beartooth and the scenery above the treeline is not what flatlanders expect. While technical at times, fun, and unique, I wouldn't say this was my #1 ride. That would be Chief Joseph Highway that is nearby.

Went on this ride July of 2020 and what a ride it was! This was the highlight of my trip riding Beartooth Pass! I'd say not for the faint hearted, it was thrilling to say the least! I would love to go back someday!

About as good as it gets. Remember it can be COLD at the top, even in summer, especially in spring and fall, and will be closed after a snowfall.

Outstanding scenery and very little traffic. Got to the top of the Beartooth Pass and it was snowing along with 8 to 10 foot drifts the road cut through. It is nothing short of amazing!

Now this is a road! Started out a beautiful day, sunny and so hot the tar snakes were active. Hit Beartooth and I have pictures of my bike with 6 foot snow drifts behind it plowed through the road. We spent the majority of the day up there just goofing around, but when the snow started we split and headed for Horsetooth. Rain came down in buckets before we got there, and the next morning there was a Victory Vision. out there in the parking lot destroyed. the rider was about 20 mins behind us and the snow got him. Nothing hurt but his pride, and his buddies were not letting him live it down as they duct taped his bike back together. Can't recommend this ride enough.

Great ride, late in the summer and a bit cold as to be expected in early September. I live in CO so used to colder temps up high, but generally stable weather patterns for most of Sept. A great month to ride in the CO/WY mountains. Just dress warmly-

We just rode the pass from Red lodge to 296, That is the Chief Joseph Scenic highway to Cody. The pass was great and the beauty was stunning to see and good road, it was 58 degrees at the top, so layer up as you stop. It's worth the ride and the construction was not bad at all. The CJSH was to us a better ride with the views for us, its a hidden gem not to be missed. It had beautiful canyons and valley passes and sweeping turns, just a great road to enjoy along with the Bear Tooth.

We didn't go the whole way, just over the mountain and back. There was a road closure at the bottom on the Wyoming side with a half hour wait in either direction. Wasn't the best weather so we went back the way we had come from Red Lodge.
