A friend and I took a ride out to the Grenada Lake Loop today. We live in Columbus, MS, so it was about 1.5 hours just to get to the loop itself. Once we got there we were not disappointed. The 44 miles of this loop have a little bit of everything, both good and bad. There are long straights with gorgeous views of the lake. There are hilly, twisty, immaculately clean miles that make getting on the throttle much more exciting. There are also some dirty parts; gravel, dirt and dust marred some of the best turns of the trek. And like any Mississippi road there are sections of flat, boring, two-lane monotony. BUT, when it's good, it's very good. I don't think we'll be making the 1.5 hour ride out to Grenada again any time soon, but if you're at all close by then it's totally worth it. We had a blast. Thank you mhiggs84 for posting!
