Rode two of the three "Sisters" (RR335 and RR337) the "pickup" weekend for the 2026 Motorcycle Grand Tour of Texas, with a group from the DFW HOG Chapter. I appreciated all of the advice from reviewers here and elsewhere to "respect the Sisters". While very twisty in places, there were only a few that caught me out. Mostly, I had to back off a bit from my normal riding due to the very rough road surface (well worn chip-and-seal pavement) and the significant amount of grit, gravel, and rocks at the pavement edges, meaning that I had to take a wider line/apex that I would have on better pavement. A couple of the recently replaced concrete low water crossings taken at speed had unmarked dips, enough to count as a chiropractic adjustment! The views from the ridge tops were stunning, even for February. While I collected my "50 Rides, 1 Nation" photo, I'll be back to ride it again, including the "missing Sister", RR336.
