I want to recommend this route but I can't due to the traffic along the route. I did this route around 3pm on a Tuesday (school not in session) and I'd say roughly 75% of the time I was in traffic going below the speed limit. There is only one spot, after you get through Altamont and before reentering Voorheesville that was traffic-free and 55 mph, but that lasted maybe 3-5 minutes. The scenery is great, and without traffic it would be enjoyable but with traffic it wasn't much fun at all.
