This road is very overlooked. It's probably one of the most 'complete' roads I've ever been on. It has a section of scenic, a section of sweepers, a section of twisties and plenty of 'Ohio Humps' to keep you puckered. I very much enjoyed myself doing it start to finish, and if I had the time I would have turned around and did it again. A very pleasant surprise. As of 10/2020 it's all in pretty good shape, too. Check out my video of it, if you will. (If the link isn't working, as it currently isn't, I'm at www.youtube.com/AkumuX)

The first four miles of 646 are full of good twisties and some abrupt elevation changes. Very nice. From there westward, it begins to smooth out but it's still a very nice road.

I agree with all your comments. Great ride. and a lot of roads to turn on heading back north. We rode it last year. Cool place to eat in Jewett called Pennington's Also if you are that far south. consider a stop at the A.B.A.T.E memorial for fallen bikers in Hopedale. There is an American Legion right there to get a drink.

This is a little-known, but fantastic route. Very well-rounded with diverse sections of road (tight corners, sweeping curves, easy straights, and lots of elevation change). The scenery is great as well, as it passes through beautiful farmland in the hills, wooded areas, small towns, & ends at Tappan Lake, which is very scenic itself and offers a variety of activities. The General Custer memorial in New Rumley, his birthplace, is also very cool. Overall, the road is in good condition, though there are a few rough patches and sections where gravel & dirt can be tracked onto the asphalt. With the changing & curvy road layout, along with the wildlife often in the area, being constantly alert is crucial.
