Me and a Friend did this ride just this summer, recomended by a Local, Nice road on the way to Canyon, then be ready for the down hill ride, We were coasting down in first gear all the way down trying to not pick up too much speed for the next turn, Was a lot of FUN!! would do it again, Beautiful river at the bottom of canyon and be sure to read the markers at the bottom regarding the tunnel for the water supply for Montrose.

Note: Respect the grade down into the canyon. You will use your brakes in addition to having it in first gear. Quite a few riders have literally had to get new pads on their bike in Montrose after this ride!
