Very scenic, a short ride. However make sure you go in plenty of light, Going in the evening light was getting sparse and managed to hit a patch of gravel going roughly 20-25mph around a broad turn, and have the bike slide out under me. Practically snails pace. Full gear, no injuries, bike sustained no damage due I would guess to frame sliders.

Upon further inspection of the cause of the accident, Only a mere 20 feet back, discovered the whole road was chalked in this gravel. Didn't matter what line I was to take it surely to slide out under me if you were at any angle of lean.

Good road, but sub-par road conditions. Ride carefully and slowly. Good light will help you see such dangerous road conditions ahead.

This ride was great. The roads were well maintained and the scenery was very nice. My wife and I rode it twice in the same day. Would highly recommend.

Scenic little route but very slow auto traffic and lots of leaves and loose gravel. This is a 10mph putt putt route, not a knee dragger.

Made the ride this weekend. Beautiful as promised. The lake had very little traffic. It is 20 MPH from almost the time you get off 435. Well worth the trip - Highly recommended.

We took this 8 mile trip 3/30/13 it is a beautiful ride. We stopped and took our helmets off to really enjoy the slow speed and intake of the surroundings. We look forward to taking the trip around the lake in the different seasons. Relaxing and well worth the time.

Great little ride right in town. Lots of twists and turns. Watch for the gravel at shelter entrances. Lots of cool shade in the summer.

Pleasant place to ride. Stop at the west end of the dam and check-out the spillway.
