The twisties and scenery really make you forget where you are and take you away from those awful, crowded highways. Luckily I live in Hayward, and it's a great way to get to Berkeley for lunch. I'll definitely be a regular on it.

Very beautiful route, Mix of slow and medium speed corners. In some places the rode get very narrow, in some corners there is sand and small rocks from the cliffs so you have to pay attention. will recommend to anyone but riders that just got their DL.

I definitely enjoyed Redwood Rd and Pinehurst Rd, very scenic and very little traffic, specially on Redwood Rd since it is closed just north of Castro Valley due to repair work on a very small section (I did not have any trouble getting through a few obstacles through the closed section on my GS650). The rest of the route has some gorgeous view of the Bay, but a bit too much traffic for my taste. I plan to go back and explore more back roads east of Pinehurst.

A great road very enjoyable to ride and offering some very interesting view. In particular I recommend a stop at the Canyon Post Office almost hidden in the redwoods.

I live on the peninsula and normally loathe riding to the East Bay but this ride is worth it. I followed the route as stated starting on the south end and headed north. There's two gas stations just north of the Redwood exit off the 580. It's a nice slow cruise on a winding, country, and at times narrow road. I had great views of the entire Bay on clear day. I missed my turn on Grizzly Peak and went down Skyline into Berkeley. This just gives me a reason to go back and do it again!

Good variety of roads and scenery. Skyline Drive is like a fast stop-free moto highway (especially fun at night because it's lit). Redwood Road is a classic and timeless road, lined with trees. Then it climbs up the Berkeley hills and it gets sporty. It's nice that's it's so close where people live cause you don't have to drive way out of the way to get some nice road under your wheels.

The segment of Pinehurst Rd between Canyon Rd and Redwood Rd is one of the most fun ever driven in my Slingshot. This quick little zip thru the redwoods is a three-mile blast in the three-wheeler.
And the 13 miles further south along Redwood Rd til you hit the flatlands ain't bad either.

On the weekends can have some traffic, but otherwise lots of curves and fun. Road has a couple of spots that are rough and bumpy.
