Drove up to Cabot Trail from Vermont. The ride up there was nice but Cabot Trail was the "pot of gold at the end of the rainbow"! Never forget it. My riding buddies are probably going to fly up there and rent some bikes and do it again as soon as we can scrounge up the funds ;-)

I am one of the lucky ones to have this ride in my "backyard" as a local Nova Scotian. My husband and I have rode the Cabot Trail up to 6 times a year, and each trip is unique. There is a reason HOG rates this stretch of highway as one of North Americas top rides over 10 years ago...it is spectacular! As creators and publishers of Motorcycle Tour Guide Nova Scotia, we have riden almost every road in the province and I will be submitting more routes in the days ahead. Great website & information for riders to enjoy, will be checking out some routes for us to explore when we go to New York for the Americade in June.

I first rode this about 10 years ago when I was relatively new to motorcycle riding. The drive drastically changed my appreciation for nice motorcycle roads as it was the best riding exprience I had up to that point and showed me how some routes are in a different league. I've taken this route 7 times since then and have made it an annual tradition. You won't find much nicer routes than the Cabot Trail!!

Atlantic Canada's best ride hands down. This picturesque route gives mountains on 1 side and ocean view on the other. Make this a 2 day event as I did it in 1 day and it was rushed with not being able to stop enough. I like this route going counter clockwise as this keeps you on the outside lane closest to the ocean.

To say the least, riding the Cabot Trail should be on the bucket list for any motorcycle enthusiast! My wife and I made the trip in 2009 and it was incredible! Challenging turns (more than a few hairpins) lots of rolling hills, and awesome scenery (lots of lookoffs along the route). Lots of opportunities for whale watching tours (Pleasant Bay has a couple of tour providers). Between going back to Hawaii and taking another trip to Cape Breton, we'd opt to go on another ride on the Cabot Trail!

unbelievable curvey mt road right by the ocean some places it looks like your going off into the ocean came around a curve and there was a moose in the middle of the road doing the squirrel dance in front of a car

This is one of those famous roads that shows up on posters and calendars. I've ridden it several times over the years. It has always been the "destination" of a week long tour. The scenery is often surreal, especially if the weather is nice. Although the weather and road conditions can be unpredictable. Because of the short summer season road crews sometimes turn both side into a large gravel path that may run for several miles.

I give this route a 5 as it combines wonderful roads, amazing scenery and fantastic local seafood.. Surrounded by water on both sides, and so many nice stops to make. The Rusty Anchor in Pleasant Bay on the west side serves great seafood, with outdoor seating overlooking the water. Meat Cove at the far north is a very interesting stop. It's the most northern point in Nova Scotia, and well worth the ride off the beaten path. And lunch on the east side at the Chowder House in Neils Harbour is a must visit.

I rode the whole Cabot Trail on a Vespa 300 GTS with my wife who was riding a Vespa LXV 150. We had a blast!!! The baggers could not hang with us in the curves and tight turns. We road it counterclockwise with the ocean on our right. Stay at the Lynwood Inn at the head of the Trail at Baddeck. DREAM RIDE!!!

The best there is in North America. Mountains on one side, the ocean on the other. A short weather window. See CabotTrailBiker website for the best information.
