This is absolutely one of my favorite roads to ride. Beautiful scenery of tall pine trees. Very twisty... you can only go about 30-35 mph. The only problem is that it's too short!

I rode the Buescher State Park portion today. The 2 parks are currently separated due to a closed off section from the wildfires. You're directed back to 71 via Cottletown Road. What I saw made for a very beautiful ride. I'm not sure how much of this course is closed off until I can ride the Bastrop Park portion and see where it's blocked from that side.

Had a MSF Rider Coach conference in Bastrop, so like always.. I checked here for a local route... Route 1C was fun.. wished I had seen it before the fire. But the road is a lot of fun.

Good route for curves and twists however not particularly smooth. Also it is short. I have also rode this on bicycle, which there are several riders to watch out for during this ride.
