Motorcycle Type : Sport - Touring

This route is great for beginners. It has long sweeping curves. I like to ride fast and was able to hold speeds I should not of. That being said, there are no sharp turns other than the few in Richards town. I loved the ride. I took it all the way out to 3090 South and took that to Hyw 6. If your coming in from 105 Headed West, take Lonestar Pkwy up to meet 149. Turn right and enjoy.

This is my favorite route. It's a great ride for my wife and me. Drifters is great and so is Yankees, great atmosphere and friendly people.

I live in the Woodlands and this is my favorite escape route out of town and takes me directly to the celebrated FM3090. The section of road thru the Sam Houston National forest is really the fun factor for this route.

Rode from Montgomery through Anderson and on to Yankee Tavern on Dec 31, 2014. Very much agree with the main reviewer's comments about the scenery and road conditions. An enjoyable ride in the national forest and quiet country roads.

A very nice road to suit any riding style. The surface is very good. Enjoyed my cheeseburger at Richard's cafe/convenience store. PicNic tables ride up restrooms (at the moment). Nice folks hang out there to rest.

starting point is Cypress Texas. take 249 towards Magnolia, at Pinehurst take 149 and follow all the way until the intersection of FM 1375, take that road and cross Lake conroe and continue towards Lake Livingston

I am a new rider and I and my friend took this today. I admit we are new riders and I have to say this is something great to do right out of the MSF class. Long roads, long curves, a few tighter ones, and just enough to make me want to ride more things like this.

Nice relaxing drive through the forest and out into the hills as east Texas piney woods transforms to the prairies of central Texas. Lots of agriculture traffic, ride accordingly.

Living in Montgomery and buying my first motorcycle, these beautiful routes were my first experience after getting my endorsement. The trees and landscape around the Sam Houston National Forest are breathtaking. Seeing the sun hit the tall, skinny shortleaf pines is amazing. Lots of great curves.

This was so much fun, road conditions are pretty good, sometimes someone pulling off a gravel road might dump some rocks in the road but they usually aren’t during the corners. 10/10
