This is an awesome twisty route with beautiful views of lake MI. I start in Muskegon and ride to Whitehall and stop and get some good food and walk around the lake, then ride back. Your lady will love if you take this route and take her to dinner on a Sat night

You can stay off US 31, by turning left on S Lakeshore Dr at Bass Lk, just north of Pentwater. Then turn right on Iris Rd to US 31 just south of PM River. You can also go past Iris to the end at the river mouth, then return to Iris.

We made a trip around the Lower part and it was fantaztic, back in 2012. This part along with so many more miles were such a joy. We hope to make a trip there again.

Use to live in Muskegon, and we would do the US-31 to Ludington quite often. Its a great ride, with some good shots at the lake.
