Another great ride while in Sturgis. The 100 mile radius around Sturgis contains the best and biggest selection of rides anywhere in the lower forty-eight. I honestly love the riding here having ridden the area in 2009/10/11.

I "rode the lasso" from Sturgis to Devil's Tower in the summer of 08 and it was a fantastic ride. My wife and some friends were out at Sturgis and we decided to head west and followed this route and were very happy we did. We stopped at Devil's Tower national park and did the hike around the tower ... make sure you bring the right shoes though - cowboy boots don't do well as hiking boots ;)

My wife and I rode the Lasso from Deadwood to Devils Tower a few weeks ago. It was a great ride,lots of different scenery along the way and great roads. Not alot of towns along the route.

This is a must ride if you are in the Sturgis area. I took 34 just west of town and it was a great ride. Devils tower is cool and worth the time to check out.

Get off I-90 At Belle Fourche, go west on 34 and stop at Stone House Saloon. On weds we received a $5.00 coupon towards a beef purchase. We used it for a free Cheeseburger. Ride on 34 is good.

Rated a 4 due to great scenery. Road is not very technical but is in good shape. Devils tower can be seen for mile at various angles. Population of towns are posted on the signs as you enter and range between 5 and 15 in some of them. Don't blink, you'll miss it.

Might even be just a strong 3, instead of a 4, but a great ride. Some rough pavement in 2018, my last time through there. Devil's tower is a sight to behold. Worth the trip no matter how you get there. This was the mashed potatoes that was in Richard Dreyfuss made in his Kitchen for Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Devil's tower is honored by the Indian Nations and should be respected. You will likely see climbers sleeping over night on the face of it. The ride there and back is through some pretty country.

Crowded during Sturgis! Rode to the entrance and stopped and had ice cream at the KOA. Great area to ride ! Did not e tear park, too many motorcycles!

We rode this one during the heat wave, it was 103 degrees according to the bike so not as enjoyable as it could have been. We were staying in Rapid City so a bit of a drive on I-90 but scenery in South Dakota is so pretty that even driving the interstate there is something to look at. It was pretty cool seeing Devil's Tower after seeing it in so many Westerns and Close Encounters of the Third Kind.

Rode all but US-14 stretch but not at the same time. We were coming back from Big Horn Mountains, ran up to Devil’s Tower on WY-24, then SD-34 back to Sturgis. (ran 90 on way out) 34 does run with I-90 for 7 miles, exit 30 to exit 23. It was a nice ride, but certainly not one of the highlights of our trip, now that’s not to say it’s not worth riding, just so many great rides. Just stopped outside of Devil’s Tower long enough to take a pic, did stop at Aladdin’s General Store, thought that was a cool place.
