Great ride, low traffic lys of great views. Beware the last 2 miles of 362 is under construction and is now a dirt road.

The road was very good but I was a bit disappointed at the end point. It just stopped in the middle of nowhere. The end point was the Iola Volunteer Fire Department Station. This is the first ride from this website that we have done. Are they supposed to just end like that??

I am from Utah, so I am used to twisty roads, extensive elevation change and incedible scenery. Nothing compares, but this was still a beautiful ride. The description was excellent and spot on. A perfect day on two wheels.

Heed the warnings. This is a fun route but some of the turns on 3090 can fool you. A friend of mine was riding two up and lost control on what seemed to be a not so difficult left curve about 1-2 miles before the turn to Carlos. The road is crowned rather than banked at the curve. Easy to misjudge. Tore up the bike but fortunately they missed the trees and stopped short of the fence. Walked away with only a few scratches.

on 3090 when you get to Erwin (F), TURN LEFT and you will still be on 3090 for the best part!!!!! When it dead ends turn left and 2 miles to Carlos.

A nice alternate start: SH249 north, and a quick right onto Huffsmith-Kohrville by the fireworks warehouse. This road changes names twice before it eventually dead-ends into another FM road. Turn left here, and enjoy some relaxing scenery. At 105, turn left, and do the speed limit! Turn right on FM149 and enter the Sam Houston National Forest. This road brings you straight to Andersen.
