This is a very nice short ride. I started taking Hwy 155 N. out of Palestine to Hwy 315. The ride on 315 is very nice. Lot of good curves and a lot of canopy road to ride on. Took Hwy 314 in to Edom. A lot of good curves and the road is in great shape. Always a good meal at The Shed in Edom.

You gotta stop at the SHED Restaurant in Edom for the best red beans and cornbread that ever slid past your lips. Miss Gloria will make sure you get fed at the Shed.

Beautiful ride from Edom into Palestine. We then searched for coffee places in Palestine and find a gem at Cream & Coffee. Well worth a visit!

6/13/2016 I started in Canton TX around 7am. Stopped off at The Shed in Edom. Has a nice ride down 314 then to 315. Plenty of nice scenery turns etc... The roads were decent. Made it past Poynor TX (US175) when I started running into wild life. First 3 dogs, then a rooster and that is when I had an encounter with a heard of deer. I managed to not go down, but I hit one. I really like this road, but if you are riding early in the morning, be careful!!!

This is a tree lined route through rolling hills which provide scenic views the whole way. In early spring the fields are covered with flowers and later in the summer green fields. In the winter the road surface is great for testing out the tires on the sport bike, hills and sweepers.

Fun ride! Lots of sweepers and some great straights that go over hills. Plenty of elevation changes and it does get tight through Ponroy. You'll see many other motorcyclists along this route, too. I live about 5 minutes from Edom, it's one of those small towns with a single blinking red light but has several "touristy" shops, events, etc and you can't go wrong with a meal at The Shed. I recommend this ride highly but just watch for slow farm traffic in the communities along the way.

I've lived in this area all my life and never really thought it to be all that great until i got my first motorcycle back when i was 17 and to this day i still love this route. Edom does have a gas station its east of town on hwy 279. if you want another good route close to palestine take {i think} fm 321 towards montalba and over towards tennesse colony this and other roads around this area make a good day ride.

My wife and I have been using this route on our annual East Texas Spring Fling and Wildflower Run with GWRRA Chapter Tx M out of Arlington Texas. If you go in early to mid April, be sure and turn right when you get to the loop around Palestine. Turn right at the first signal light and Davey Dogwood Park we be about a half mile on your left.

Keep in mind there are no gas stations till you get to Brownsboro,but continue on to Edom there's two great resturants to choose from the Shed and Edom bakery and other little neat shops.

I've started several times to recommend this road myself. It is a great ride. Lots of MC groups come over from the Dallas/Ft. Worth area to eat at The Shed Cafe in Edom.

Beautiful ride through the Piney woods of East Texas. Nice smooth curves, light traffic great scenery. Rode this ride several times different times of the year and it was just as pretty each time.
