4/3/11- My wife and I just ran this area and really loved it. We came from Waxahachie and ran fm 813 through Rockett and Palmer out to fm 660. During Blue Bonnet season the Union Hill road is a must. Nice homes and field after field of Blue Bonnets. The views were beautiful and the scent of flowers in the air was awsome. Easy one tank trip from Arlington.

Great Route, starts off slow, but plenty of turns on the way back from Waxahachie. Can ride the final stretch back and forth for some good sweepers!

I rode this route this past weekend. 7/5/2015. It was a fun short ride. The roads are ok. The pavement on some of the curves were rough but not unmanageable for my sport cruiser.
The scenery throughout the route is great. It is very easy to make a wrong turn if you are not sharp. You will not get lost, but you can easily wind up in the wrong place!!
This is a no pressure ride! I was able to cruise 50-60mph without anyone riding my tail. Most of all, you can easily do this route on a street bike on one tank!
Highly recommend this route!!

This is not a bad trip. Scenery is through Texas farmland, pretty flat the whole way. Not a lot to see and no places to stop along the route for scenic photo ops. Lots of peg scraper turns, many are very sharp and blind; use caution. The directions say the road has a T from 660 to 813, but it's more like a Y. Very easy to miss. If you do miss it, you'll stay on 660 into Ennis. Very easy to get back on the route from there. Maybe it would better when the Blue Bonnets are out.

Roads on this route are well maintained and the scenery is nice. Several good places to eat along the route. It is a loop so you can start at any part and return where you started.

Turn South on Union Hill Rd out of Bristol and take a very nice twisty and hilly ride for the next few miles. Then take a Right on FM660 when Union Hill dead ends and you will be right back on the above route. Do this on April 18 of 09 and come by the 6th annual Bluebonnet Bash at 1540 Union Hill Rd. The route to me is much better if you take 660 to 813 thru Palmer for some excellent curves

The hands down best Bluebonnets (35 acres worth) are on Zmoleck Road, East of I-45, between I-45 and Hwy85. There, now you know.

Generally a good ride. Roads are predictable and enough gas stations along the route as well. Nice relaxing cruise with a few nice curves.
