this is a great ride! the road gets real good when you get on hwy 85 to Grimsley. it's better for a sport rider...and be careful; some of the road conditions are hazardous. you could get in trouble real quick. so pay attention!

The portion of Hwy 85 is not in good shape. there are patches across the highway that act as speed bumps..concaved. And they are numerous. it is quite brutal when riding aggressively. Too bad as this would be a great ride other wise.

I LOVE THIS ROAD. Went on a nice late fall afternoon and was stunned by the scenery for the last 5 miles or so. Lots of twists and turns that offer good opportunities to go through some gears and work on the brakes. Be very careful however because the large majority of the turns have no caution signs so easy does it, but do it. This is my favorite stretch of roads I have found in middle Tennessee so far. Fun ride and great sights.

This is one of our favorite rides. My wife Janet and I travel this route many times.It's great for any type of bike.This area has a very rich history from its coal mining past. ( If only the hills and hollers could talk! )

Rode this on the way to Little Switzerland, NC on the second day of a 9 day trip. I nice curvy and hilly ride until Crawford, then there are some nice twisty sections. Very nice scenery, as well.
