I rode this route recently without the detour to Middleboro. We rode 11w from Knoxville to Rogersville then SR66 to SR33 then US70 back to Rogersville. It was a great ride with lots of twisties and scenery. I would recommend it to the folks who are tired of riding the "Dragon" and the roads that are crowed with others.

We took 70 north off of 11W had no idea it was that curvey, beautiful ride. We also rode the Dragon and this was better no traffic pretty much had the road to ourselfs. I would also recommend 421 in NC and TN just as good.
