I love Hwy 269. This route has some great twisties and what the tourists would call quaint little towns. The roads are in good shape, the speeds are slow and relaxing, and the scenery is gorgeous. Too bad it's not a longer road, but it pairs well with almost all the country roads in the area. Normandy lake is the best part.

Great route! If you hop off 269 in Normandy, you can also visit the George Dickel distillery. 5 minutes in the other direction in Normandy and you are at Normandy Dam. Definitely worth getting off 269 for a few minutes

The pavement was great and I could really wind it out. The scenery was great as well. The few cars I got stuck behind were happy to let me fly by. Let's be honest though, this road deserves to be extended, as the ONLY logical stopping point is the Jack Daniels plant in Lynchburg. (Don't drink and ride, folks. ;) )
