Great ride, one of the best in SD. Beautiful roads in great shape, goes past Mount Rushmore. Give yourself time to stop as there are so many beautiful areas. Highly recommended.

Loved the area. Saw my first buffalo here. One crossed if front of us, stopped in the road and looked at me. Thought he may charge for a few seconds but moved on

Rode this route in 2019 but I also added the Custer park wildlife loop to it and ran into a heard of bison along the way, they were crossing the road. Kind of eerie having something that large 8 feet away on all sides and nowhere to go.
