I have taken this route several times and it always pleases me. Not much traffic at all, and plenty of opertunities for passing. Great run on those hot days because of all the shade, and you can feel the cool air from the creek.

Took this road today and had an absolute blast. This is probably one of the best roads I've ridden in PA. My last favorite road was 144 but since all the gas drilling that road has turned to garbage. This is my new favorite road.

great road,lots of places to stop. colley pub,High Knob inn to name a few. Note; Used to pick up 973 to bypass williamsport and Rt 220 but Bridge was washed out @ 973 & 87

Great road also try PA RT 187 out of Mehoopany runs north along the river for a while. Also when in Mehoopany try Sugar Hollow Rd to RT 29. Marsha's Diner at the Intersection with Rt 29 is a good place to eat.

I rode this with my Dad and uncle in April 2009. This is beautiful road to ride. I've driven the road in a car but it's much better on bike. Like most anywhere in NE PA look out for the deer at dusk. The Google map is actually showing 220 and not 87.

One of the best roads in the Northeast of Pa. My favorite part is from Williamsport to Dushore.. Nice mix of tight turns and sweeping corners..A stop at Forksville Inn for a Cheese steak is a true reward also.. Best i ever had..

route 87 is one of the sweetest roads in PA. It's not overly challenging, but sure keeps a smile on your face as you go a little faster. It flows sooo nicely. My friends and i always camp along it at Rocky Valley campground when we do a ride up that way.

My husband and I went for a weekend ride on our Gold Wings last weekend and ended up on this road. Lots of great roads in PA but this one definitely made my list of favorites!

This is a great road year round, but best in the fall. Couple of good wineries in the area (Winterland, Pappy Jacks) and if you ride it you MUST stop at the forksville general store for lunch. Cheesesteak and garlic fries. Trust me.
