All of this ride is superb. On the ride don't miss "Full Sail" brewery tour in Hood River, the scenic stops along the Columbia River Gorge and the Historic ski resort at Mt. Hood. Want a different ride? Reverse the ride, it's like a whole new ride. If there were a ten rating I would do a ten for sure. Looking forward to my 3rd ride on this route in June when we head out from Sebring, Florida for our 5th trip to the great NW.

Forest fire last year decimated the HWY 30 portion of this route. It is still closed now, don't know how much longer until it re-opens.

I have ridden around the Columbia and Mt Hood area many times. It is a great place to ride, camp and see the outdoors.

The problem is the route is so beautiful, it's hard to watch the road. Just rode most of this route last weekend. Loose gravel and moss was the worst part for road hazards. A very nice route.

This is an amazing ride. The highway 30 portion is probably my favorite ride of my two week journey through the Pacific Northwest.

Outstanding ride. Getting through Sandy can be a slog, especially on a hot summer day but it's still worth it. The stretch from Govt. Camp down to Hood River is my favorite part of this ride. Stunning views of Mt. Hood on a good portion of this route.

This route is fantastic. Scenery? YES! Ride Enjoyment? YES! Tourism Opportunities? YES! A weekend ride on this route may hold you back as it is very popular w/ suvs, buses and all other kinds of traffic. Try it on a weekday as you'll be able to open it up a little on 35. Make sure to stop at Timberline Lodge & Panorama Point in Hood River. - Stay off of Columbia Historic Highway near Multnomah Falls, between exit 28 & 35 from I-84, very , very crowded.
