Not a bad road at all, especially if you get your speed up to *ahem* extra-legal speeds. If you're rolling at 55mph, though it's decent enough. Just worth the 4 star rating as the surface is usually pretty good. If you're heading south into Wayne's this would be a solid path to get there, that isn't the slab.

If your looking for a rural ride, this is it. Not a lot of curves but Great scenery. Watch your gas as there are not many stations. Make sure you stop in Salem, its a nice little town.

We took RT7 from Youngstown south along the Ohio River stopping at the Moundsville Haunted Prison in West Virginia. You've got to do the tour of the prison! We then continued South on RT7 to Powhatten and took 148 over to Armstrong Hills and picked up RT9 and road it all the way into Salem. Great ride. Lower part of RT9 is tricky with twisties and hills.

Rode an abbreviated version, picked it up at US-30 in Hanoverton, for me it was ok. Takes a lot of turns, pay attention to signs. Prolly missed out on the best part, will catch the Cadiz to Armstrong Mills stretch next time. Pavement was ok, Cadiz had food and gas.
