Loved this ride. Thank you b.hives!!! Must first say that it's well over a 100mile haul... pushing more toward 200. But well worth every minute! Just a quick mention that it's 206 east to downsville, route 30 north to margaretville, and as for route 28... it's either north or south... but not east. Had a great navigator at my back that kept this route honest. The ride met all promises and surpassed my original expectations. I'd like to also add that the wind was quite strong... my night rod weighing in @ 675lbs felt its heavy hand. Regardless, my hat is off to b.hives for this amazing contribution... thanks again for the beautiful ride and great memories! Please keep them coming.

A very nice ride. Roads are in great condition and the scenery is amazing. Caution, plan for a 200 plus mile ride. We planned this ride banking on the 100 miles mentioned in the article only find out that we were not even half way at mile 80. Good news is there are plenty of roads to shorten the distance. A great ride if in the area.

Wow rode half of this ride this weekend! Had to cut it short to see my favorite band off 145 in East Durham At the Irish Festival they have every year! Amazing ride. we ran it in reverse so we could get to the concert but from what I saw I fell in love!! I will be back to conquer the rest of this ride before the end of the season!!!

i live in this area, margaretville in delaware county. The roads and scenary are magnificent. I know this will sound like a self serving comment, but i see many bikers staying at the local motel paying 100bucks a nights for a cubical. I have an emaculate 2 bedroom vacation rental on 9 acres see www.pakatakanmtnguesthouse.com for a few bucks more. In any case, you should check out this area! Hope I did not break any rules......if so,,,i apolgize, Mike

Weekend ride through the Catskills Preserve, 442 miles. Starting in Catskill burned the Windham-blacked, crashed in Prattsville (got drunk with the locals, charming), morning dip, coffee, down and around the 10, slayed Bear Mountain, scalped the Big Indian, rode like heathen through the Delaware, laid rubber in the Hunter Kill Wilderness and leaned deep in the curves of the Kaaterskill Wild Forest. What a weekend, I love my life...

This is my home turf,it's a great scenic ride,if you don't mind steep skinny roads go through Saugerties on West Saugerties Rd. and up Platte Clove Rd. to Tannersville. Many county roads in this area are good too.Avoid Rt.212 though,,since Irene it's bike friendly

This is the best area and a great route for motorcycles, there is much to see and do. I would add a side trip down thru oliverea and frost valley, waterfalls and bears are regularly seen.

Rode this trip at 6 am on a Saturday morning last summer. Beautiful scenery, glad there was no traffic to deal with to fully enjoy the route. I will certainly be doing this trip again.
